Silkie bantams are a lovely breed of chicken known for their soft, silken-like feathers and fluffy appearance. They are characterized by their small size, crests on their heads, and a tendency to be very broody. Silkies also have black skin and bones, a feature that is unusual for chickens, and they typically have five toes on each foot.
